In May 2026, the 7th China Paper Industry Interconnection and Digitalization Development Summit was held in Wuhan. Under the theme “Intelligent Empowerment, Green Transformation,” the summit focused on key technical issues including digital transformation of the paper industry and VFD drive system reliability. Shanghai Reconfigurable Power Electric Technology Co., Ltd. was invited to participate, showcasing the company’s latest achievements in VFD-matched reactors and dv/dt output filters.

The paper industry is a typical process manufacturing sector with extensive VFD-driven equipment throughout the production line. From refiners and screens in the pulping section, to headboxes, presses, and dryers in the papermaking section, and winders and cutters in the finishing section—VFDs are everywhere. The high dv/dt pulses from VFD outputs pose particular risks to motor insulation in continuous production environments, where unscheduled downtime due to insulation failure can result in significant production losses.

Recon’s RECON series dv/dt output filters, optimized for 15kW/380V VFD drive systems, offer the following technical advantages:

  • Precision Filtering: Precisely matched RLC network with calculated cutoff frequency and damping ratio, effectively reducing dv/dt to below 500V/μs
  • High Reliability: High-permeability magnetic cores and low-ESR metallized film capacitors, designed for 24/7 continuous operation in the paper industry
  • Compact Design: Integrated construction with small footprint and low temperature rise, suitable for space-constrained panel installations
  • Motor Protection: Effective suppression of cable reflection overvoltage, extending motor insulation life by 3-5 times

During the summit, Recon’s technical team engaged in in-depth discussions with electrical engineers from major paper manufacturers, exploring filtering solutions for long-cable VFD drives and multi-motor coordinated control scenarios.

Recon will continue to deepen its focus on VFD-matched filtering solutions, providing high-quality products and professional technical services to support the digital transformation and green development of the paper industry.
